Meet the Smithsonian Microscope Kit, a beginner microscope that magnifies leaves, pollen, insect parts and fibers at 150x, 450x and 900x. A built-in light illuminates specimens directly.
The kit includes 3 prepared slides, 6 blank slides, 2 specimen vials, a petri dish, slide labels and covers, tools and a storage case, plus a STEM guide on the history of microscopes, how they work, how to prepare slides and first experiments. Requires 2 AA batteries (not included). Recommended for ages 8 and up with adult supervision.
