Shipping

Where we ship
United States only — all 50 states plus Washington DC.

Standard shipping

  • Free on orders over $100
  • $7.95 flat rate on orders under $100
  • Delivery in 3–5 business days to most addresses
  • Orders placed before 2pm ET ship the same day (Mon–Fri)

Express shipping

  • 2-day: $14.95
  • Overnight: $29.95
  • Cutoff: 12pm ET for same-day shipping

In-store pickup (free)
Order online, choose In-store pickup at checkout, select one of our two Brooklyn locations. Most orders are ready within 2 hours. You'll get an email when yours is ready.

Tracking
Every order gets a tracking number by email as soon as it ships. Track from your account page or the email link.

Shipping to PO boxes / APO / FPO
Yes — we use USPS for these addresses. Delivery may take 5–10 business days.

Lost or damaged in transit
Email info@toyshopnyc.com with your order number within 14 days. We'll replace it or refund you, no questions asked.


Returns

30-day return policy
Unopened, unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must be in original packaging.

14-day opened returns
Opened items can be returned within 14 days if they're in resalable condition (clean, complete, all original parts and packaging present).

Non-returnable items

  • Baby formula, food, and consumables (HiPP, Holle, Kabrita, etc.)
  • Items marked Final Sale
  • Personalized or custom-ordered items
  • Gift cards
  • Items damaged by misuse or normal wear

How to start a return

  1. Email info@toyshopnyc.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. We'll send you a prepaid return shipping label (free for orders over $100, $7.95 for smaller orders deducted from refund)
  3. Pack the item securely in original packaging if possible
  4. Drop off at any USPS location

Or bring it back in-store
Both Brooklyn locations accept returns — no label needed, no shipping wait. Bring the item with the order confirmation email or order number.

Refund timeline
Once we receive your return:

  • Inspection: 1–2 business days
  • Refund processed: same or next business day
  • Funds appear in your account: 3–5 business days (depending on your bank)

Refunds go back to the original payment method automatically.


Exchanges

We don't process direct exchanges. If you want a different size, color, or item:

  1. Return the original for a refund
  2. Place a new order for what you want

This way you don't wait, and you get a fresh tracking number.


Damaged or defective items

If something arrives damaged or stops working within normal use:

  • Email info@toyshopnyc.com with order number and photos
  • We'll replace it, refund it, or work with the brand directly — whatever's fastest for you

Many of our brands (Lego, Magna-Tiles, etc.) also offer their own product warranties — we'll point you to the right place if it's covered.


Holiday season

During November–December we extend our return window to January 15 for all gift purchases. Just note "gift" at checkout or in the order notes.
